Playing piano with swinging confidence and singing with earth tones, Lily Sazz sits together with a core team of Robin Pirson-Scott Apted/dr and Wayne DeAdder-Carrie Clark/b while brining in sympathetic guests on this rollicking release. She boogies with Charlotte McAfee-Brunner/tb on “In A Hurry” and slides into dark corners with guitarist Colin Linden for a long shadowed “Goodnight, Sweetheart”. She rocks hard with guitarist Mike Branton/g on “I Can’t Jam” and gets swampy with harmnonica man Steve Marriner on “Gaslight”. On her own, she conveys early Billy Joel on the personal take of “Don’t Let It Show while going a bit on the pop side with vocalist/guitarist Suzie Vinnick on “Isn’t That So”. Rich rhythms.
